Bluegum Hill Guesthouse is a warm and welcoming family double storey house, lovingly decorated to reflect the colours and culture of South Africa. Breathtaking panoramic views are seen from our open plan kitchen, dining room, top and bottom lounges, large balcony and pool deck, as well as our six well kept and characterful en-suite bedrooms.
Our panoramic 180 degree views stretch across Table Bay to Robben Island, the 2010 Soccer World Cup Stadium, the V&A Waterfront with its working Harbour and the coastal suburb of Mouille Point with its’ Lighthouse and seaside promenade. See the waves breaking on the shoreline of Robben Island. Across the bay, lies Bloubergstrand with the Tygerberg Hills in the background.

Our upstairs lounge is a cosy, communal space where you can relax after an exciting day sightseeing and chat with other guests from all over the world who are also enjoying the wonders of Cape Town. Our downstairs lounge downstairs has the Honesty bar and opens out to the pool deck.

Our Steps…
We have 34 steps down to our house – they are wide and safe with a handrail and well-lit at night. Inside the house itself is a spiral staircase leading to the bottom lounge, bedrooms and pool deck. More steps lead down the side of the house typically used for luggage.
We are situated on the top-most road of Upper Green Point, one of Cape Town’s most up-market residential areas and close to the City Centre and the world famous Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, yet it is remarkably quiet.
Africa’s colourful history and warmth are reflected in our artistic décor,
warm friendly atmosphere and good old-fashioned South African hospitality. Sleep in one of our six characterful, well equipped bedrooms and wake to a generous Full English alfresco breakfast.

Personally prepared and served by us alfresco, from 8am till 10h30 am, out on the balcony in good weather,
