Bluegum Hill Guesthouse, situated in the upmarket suburb of Green Point – high up on the top-most road below the Signal Hill Nature Reserve, has a high vantage point which gives us our beautiful panoramic view as well as a peaceful setting – yet still really close to the City and V&A Waterfront.
The 2010 Soccer World Cup Stadium is a clear landmark from our balcony!! See more great 2010 World Cup Stadium photos from its start of construction to an inside tour on our FaceBook page under Albums
Bluegum Hill is ideally located for visitors to Cape Town…
- 2 minutes drive to South Africa’s “Mother City”, dating back to April 1652, markets, shops, restaurants, pubs, museums, the Castle and the famous Company Gardens.
- 5 minutes drive to the bustling V & A Waterfront.
- 10 minutes drive to our majestic Table Mountain.
- 15 minutes drive to Cape Town’s famous Clifton and Camps Bay beaches.
Although we are not in short walking distance to the City and Waterfront – guests can walk down to the Waterfront, 30 minutes downhill by foot. Coming home by foot is rather tiring as it’s uphill all the way back and we do not advise walking at night. Taxis are inexpensive and easily available.
There are many fine restaurants in the area – we gladly make restaurant reservations for our guests. Visit EATOUT.CO.ZA for great local restaurant recommendations
We gladly help organize our guests’ stay in our beautiful City and can recommend all the best options of what to do and see. We provide great maps and info – all here to plan with our guests, when they arrive.
